It can be hard to know what to do right now. Difficult to even connect with how we’re feeling during times like these. If you’re struggling right now, please know you are not alone.
My husband, Glen, and I sat looking at the TV last night, watching another long day of unimaginable destruction, pain, loss, and suffering summed up in mere minutes as global leaders continue to justify and share what they believe are reasonable explanations.
Our hearts know there are none.
When we are in a place of trying to justify who is in more pain, whose reactions are more justified, and who deserves to live or die, we all lose.
I woke with a heavy heart again this morning trying to figure out how I can be of support to others right now. In some moments, I’m not even sure how I can be of support to myself, but one thing is clear: when in doubt, be of service to others.
This is why I’m opening my calendar for the next few weeks to offer Held Space for anyone seeking support, even if we have no idea what support looks like right now.
Held Space is a free and open invitation to join me one-on-one on Zoom for up to 30 minutes. It is to be witnessed, just as you are right now. To be held in your grief, your pain, your uncertainty, and fear. If there is something going well for you right now, but it hasn’t felt right to share your joy, allow me to celebrate that with you.
You do not need to justify or overthink what you need. If you feel the call to connect, I invite you to do just that. We need each other right now. Allow me to hold space for you.
