Tell me, how have you been navigating all that these past few months have been dishing out?
I’m finding it hard to believe that we are already halfway through this year. And what a year it has been so far, especially here in the United States.
I’m far from the only one who’s been struggling with the state of the world, our current political climate, and its unfathomably far-reaching consequences, in particular.
I’ve been at a loss for words, actions, and answers. I’ve felt angry, enraged, and powerless. I’ve been listening, learning, and attempting to understand what has felt difficult to grasp. Mostly, I’ve been making space for myself to tune into what I need so I can continue to show up for the people I serve through my work.
That led me to realize I both needed and wanted to be in community with others in a more intentional way. Like anything, the more we put into something, the more we get out of it, and what has resulted is so much more than I could have anticipated. So far, this year has been full of:
- Getting out to do more in my local community,
- Spending quality time with loved ones,
- Traveling more with my husband, which has both expanded our perspectives and shaken us out of our default operating settings (definitely needed),
- Securing an office outside of my home to see clients and new colleagues in person (one of the best decisions I have made to date!),
- Seeking out and joining a mastermind group to support my personal and professional growth,
- Collaborating on projects that wouldn’t have been conceived of on my own (or nearly as rich and special), and,
- Spending time connecting with some brilliant and inspiring women entrepreneurs.
I haven’t just gained a sense of connection and belonging in the communities I’ve been engaging with; I’ve also gained some wonderful friendships.
I’ve begun to feel hopeful again. That there are ways to move forward that feel aligned and impactful, even as it feels the world is burning around us.
Time with good people can do that. It’s been a powerful reminder of how critical social connection is in our lives, and why we need it to thrive. We need each other to truly thrive.
And right now, we need each other more than ever.
In service to that and to creating deeper community, I have several new projects and collaborations in development. One, I am very excited to share with you today as we just opened the waitlist:

🔥 PODCAST INTERVIEW 🔥
Did you catch the podcast interview? I had the pleasure of joining The POW’HERFULL Podcast with Almira Bardai.
We talked about so much, including:
✨ How I came to the neurowise coaching work I do,
✨ How our nervous system is crucial to the way we lead, and,
✨ How the body’s intelligence can support us to move through blocks that have been holding us back.
This was a fun conversation to have! I hope you enjoy it.
You can listen to the episode here.
Until next time,
Sonja
